Yay! More Fallout Equestria art!

As is the nature of the Equestrian Wastelands, anything that survived the Bombs was left heavily mutated, scared, or tainted. One of those cases of mutation and a kind of evil alteration are those done to the Diamond Dogs.

Originally fanatic gem miners, the Diamond Dogs populated a region known as "Pleasant Valley", mining gems for the Equestrian Empire. Soon however, the gems were depleted and the tunnels ran dry. The Ministries organized to help direct the war effort - particularly the Ministery of Magic - began to use the region and the tunnels as a testing ground and toxic dump site.

Many of the Diamond Dogs, who were relocated prior to this move regularly attempted to re-settle, causing diplomatic strain as negotiations were pursued to talk them out. But in the end, they remained.

After the bombs dropped, they were exposed to high-levels of radiation, as well as the magical toxins dumped there. This exposure changed them. They evolved rapidly. Developed stronger hides, and long sharp claws able to cut through anything, from steel to concrete to living flesh. They retained their intelligence though, and soon came to re-purpose pre-war weapons and gear to fit their features.

Now they run amok in the Pleasant Valley region, armed with power magical-energy weapons. Their natural defenses mixes well with tactics-granting intelligence and ability to use ranged weaponry.

In essence, imagine Deathclaws from Fallout, except with the ability to shoot at you and plan their attacks.

Based on characters from Fallout Equestria by Kkat, which is in turn based on the characters and settings of Hasbro's/Lauran Faust's "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic".

A conceptual mixture of a Super Mutant with a Deathclaw. Nasty.

You forgot to mention they can move through the ground like it's water as well.

I figure anyone going in to read the story will find that out. I'll leave it a surprise.

I guess I better stock up on missiles, only quick way to take out Deathclaws.

I fight them like a man. With my scoped and fully modded laser rifle.

Guess I should look into trying a Super Sledge on them, that would be the manly way. But my melee skill sucks.

No-one uses melee in Fallout. Guns are so much more efficient. Although blades don't need reloading.

I might do a Fallout data that's totally based around combat, with almost no points put into Speech, Charisma, Lockpick or other auxilary skills. I just beat shit up.
