My fair ladies I do beseech thee both with great haste that the imperii of thine north hath fallen from siege. And that in thine world of light there does sit a great dragon on its throne. And that dragon doth arm himself with shadow. For lo, sitting upon thy throne of thy Crystal Imperii is a great malevolent prince. And through thee claimant's power I do fear for the gentleness of thy world.

It was in thy streets of whence I fled with the last nobles, that thy dark lord's power manifested itself in a great harrowing of the Imperii. T'was no home whence I found untouched by thy lord's scourge, magic, and personnel. Those not put to the sword were shackled to chains. Thine possessions looted and their homes forfeit and destroyed. The Lady of the North and thine court's power are compromised to the most distressing degree.

I fear, my ladies. That the gentle pax we hath held for so long between the magics of both empires are lost. And thy world's stability, and safety are threatened by shadow. For lo, a dangerous lord now seeks to spread thy influence and magic. And already, I see in my mind the same scourging and harrying to be repeated on our northern borders, and our armies laid to waste if action is not immediately taken. And even, my fairest ladies, thy divinity and majesty.

Fear, and make wise decision. For it is thy dark lord that threatens us. The Mad King Sombra, first of his name, House of Umbra.

- Report to the princesses on the Harrowing of the Crystal Empire.

So yeah. Another humanization of Sombra! I do believe there's more to come when I draw them. As well as Sombra. Sort of a sequel in spirit to the first humanization. Though that had no narrative attached.

And in any case: I suck at fire. I need to practice. Should have at least removed the outlines for it. Ah well.

When ya showed me the sketch earlier, I thought the crystals in the background were the same color (blue) for some reason lol. The palette you used is more radiant though, reminiscent of stained glass windows. Great work with the lighting too. :U
