So every time it seems there's a fleeting, perhaps arguable mention to the political nature of Equestria I just want to go and draw Luna and Celestia as German nobles. Largely because of the occasional mention to independent Kingdoms within greater Equestria.

But there's also no de facto uniform for kings, so I had to go through portraits of kaisers - German and Prussian - to pick out some uniforms from these portraits. Here I've decided to give Celestia what it looked like Heinrich III [Salain] wore in a portrait of him that I found, though with some modifications to account for the collar. For Luna, I went with a portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm, and edded a modified Pickelhaub. As it turns out, it's an interest comparison of fashion...

Or if anything the sisters like to raid the Royal Wardrobe of Ages and dress up when no one's asking them to work.

Luna looks a lot of things to me. When it was just line art she was more "why are we doing this?".

I guess I should have smoothed out the shading on her face a bit more.
